In 1976 the cellars of Uggiano were enlarged and relocated in San Vincenzo a Torri, nearby the Pesa river valley. Over the years, the company has grown and established as a prestigious winery.

Today the three historical partners Giacomo, Fabio and Daniele, have taken the reins from Giuseppe Losapio, historical founder of Uggiano, putting all their energies in the production of high quality wines, faithful to Uggiano’s winemaking heritage.

Azienda Uggiano
Located at 250-300 meters above sea level, the vineyards of Uggiano extend along the slopes that connect Montespertoli to Montelupo Fiorentino and San Casciano Val di Pesa.

Tenuta Aquilaia
Tenuta Aquilaia is located in Scansano, part of Grosseto province in the heart of Maremma. The estate covers an area of forty hectares, including fifteen hectares of vineyard, in the Fissi Sanguinaio stream valley, close to where it meets the Albegna river.

Our staff of oenologists is constantly striving for excellence in all our wines.
Ageing process
A large and impressive ageing cellar houses 3000-6000Lt. traditional Slavonian oak casks for the wine ageing along with 225 Lt. French oak barrels where Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah are aged for long periods before bottling in order to enhance their aromatic characteristics.
Bottling
A moder automatic bottling line completes the production process while a large and thermos-controlled warehouse stores and keeps wines “ad hoc” before distribution.
